Obituary of Susan M. Scanlon

Susan M. Scanlon, age 43 of Kingwood Twp., NJ, died on Friday, June 20, 2008 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ. Born in Belleville, NJ, she was the daughter of James T. and Patricia (Peggy) Brown, Sr. of Kingwood Twp. Sue had lived in Whitehouse Station before moving to Kingwood Twp. in 1995. On March 3, 1997, Sue married her husband and best friend, Robert C. Scanlon. She and Bob owned and operated a farm in Kingwood Twp., and raised cattle and hay. She had also worked for Applied Water Management in Hillsborough for 15 years. Besides her loving husband, Bob and loving parents, Jim and Peggy, Sue is survived by her maternal grandmother, Rose Petrella of Bridgewater, her mother-in-law, Lucy Scanlon of Branchburg, her brothers, James T. Brown Jr. of Ozona, FL, and Steven Brown of Flemington. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Angela, James III, Steven and Kaitlyn. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse. Friends may join the family prior to the service at 10:00 A.M. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 7-9 P.M. and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Bernards Cemetery, Bridgewater. In lieu of flowers, the family urges donations to the Kingwood Twp., Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 89, Baptistown, NJ 08803.
