Obituary of Roy R. Schulte
Roy R. Schulte, age 84 of Branchburg, NJ, died Sunday, September 7, 2008 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Newark to the late Ralph and Helen Schulte. He lived in Irvington before moving to Branchburg in 1966.
He was an Army Veteran of WWII who served in the European Theater, under General S. Patton.
Roy worked for Jabel Ring Company in Irvington for 42 year before retiring in 1989. He was a jewelry steel engrave, a true craftsman at his work. It was very precise work that required extreme patience and dedication to detail.
Among several interests, Roy was a gun enthusiast who enjoyed target shooting, playing pool, observing boxing and tennis. His retreat was the summer home at the beach.
Everything he did was with purpose and precision, the kind of man who would choose his words wisely before speaking to someone.
His son, Glen Schulte who was formerly of Frost Proof, Florida, predeceased him.
Roy is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Virginia Schulte, who he married in 1964; his loving children, Daniel Schulte of Raritan Borough, Mark Beach of Bedminster, Karen Schulte of Frost Proof, FL, Deborah Phillips of Bridgewater, Donna Gulick of Whitehouse and Regina Redlich of Bedminster. He is also survived by his 12 adoring grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
All services will be private and have been entrusted to the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse.
