Obituary of Richard Franklin Stansbury

Richard Franklin Stansbury, age 78 of Stanton, NJ, died Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ. He was the son of the late Franklin and Victoria Stansbury. Rich had lived in Union before moving to Stanton 45 years ago. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. Rich was an electrician and a member of the IBEW for 50 years. He was the Chief Electrical Inspector for Readington Twp. and Bernards Twp. for 20 years. Throughout his life, Rich was active in his community; he coached little league and a girls softball team and did volunteer work for the Stanton Holly Trail, the YMCA, the South Branch Watershed and the SPCA. Rich is survived by his wife of 56 years, Grace (Biondi) Stansbury and his two daughters, Donna Stansbury of Stanton and Jessica Stansbury of Mountainhome, PA. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, September 27, 2008 from 8:30 to 9:00 A.M. at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse. A funeral mass will be celebrated immediately following the visitation at 9:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station. Entombment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Annandale.
