Obituary of Catherine F. Schaefer

Obituary Information Catherine F. Schaefer, age 79 of Flemington, NJ, died Saturday, October 25, 2008 at the Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, NJ. Born in Bound Brook, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Catherine Barna. On April 3, 1948, Catherine Barna married Christopher Schaefer and in 1949, they purchased a farm in Readington Township. Schaefer Farms has been a family run business ever since. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station. Besides her husband, Christopher, Catherine is survived by her two sons, Christopher Schaefer Jr. and his wife Kristy of Readington Twp. and William G. Schaefer also of Readington Twp., her brother Michael Barna of Florida, her 8 grandchildren, Jessica, April, Andrew, Rebecca, Timothy, Katherine, Morgan and Christopher III. She is also survived by four great grandchildren. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 9:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse.
