Obituary of Christa Hengen

Christa Hengen of Whitehouse Station died peacefully on July 2, 2009 with her loving family at her side, she was 74. Born in Germany, she moved to the United States with her husband in 1959. Christa was a homemaker and took pride in raising her family, gardening, and cooking. She worked for Ethicon, Inc. in Bridgewater in the Quality Assurance Dept. for 15 years before retiring in 2001. Prior to living in Whitehouse Station she lived in Bridgewater. Survivors include her husband of 51 years Max of Whitehouse Station, Two daughters, Martina Hengen-Comiskey and her husband Patrick of Pennsylvania, and Michele Kurilla and her husband Bruce of Whitehouse Station. One sister, Anneliese Konzelmann and her husband Gerhard in Germany. She is also the proud grandmother of Reilly and Brielle Comiskey.A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 7 at 10:00 am at St. Elizabeth Church on Peapack Road in Far Hills.Friends may visit with the family on Monday, July 6 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ 08888.Interment will be private.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Cancer Institute of New Jersey, 195 Little Albany St. New Brunswick, NJ 08902 For more information or to send condolences please visit www.kearnsfuneralhome.com
