Obituary of Saul E. Harrison

Saul E. Harrison died Sept. 8, 2009, at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington. He was 75.Born in Philadelphia, Pa., Mr. Harrison was the son of the late Israel and Ida Harrison. He was a resident of Stanton for past 16 years, originally living in Westfield. Mr. Harrison was vice president of World Wide Engineering for Bristol-Myers Squibb in New Brunswick. He graduated with a B.S. degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1955. His hobbies included horseback riding, being a falconer and an accomplished violinist, professional photographer, and certified code welder. Everything Saul set out to do was accomplished with passion and perseverance. He is survived by his beloved wife of 15 years, Mary Harrison (nee Hancik) of Stanton; one son, Michael of San Leandro, Calif.; two daughters, Dana Harrison of Berkeley, Calif., and Julia Matheson of Chevy Chase, Md.; three brothers, Edward, Bernard, and Nathan Harrison. He also survived by four grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Stanton Reformed Church at 11 am.Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 11, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Hwy 28, Whitehouse, NJ.For more information or to send condolences, please visit www.kearnsfuneralhome.com.
