Obituary of Boris Sterk

Boris J. Sterk, age 89, of Readington Township, died Friday, November 13, 2009. Born in present day Croatia, Mr. Sterk came to the United States at age 7 and graduated from Columbia College and Columbian School of Engineering. He served as a chemical engineer with Mobil Oil for 37 years before his retirement in 1983.Surviving is his wife, of 60 years, Vera Sterk, his three children, Stewart Sterk of Mamaroneck, NY; Susan Sterk-Kirch of New York City and Andrea Sterk-Louthan of Gainesville, Fla. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren, Lauren and Diana Sterk, Natalie and Regina Kirch and Tony, Tim and Peter Louthan. Visitation will be held on Sunday November 15, 2009 at the Kearns Funeral Home 103 Old Highway Whitehouse NJ from 2 to 6 pm with a time for "Special Thoughts and Remembrances" by family and friends at 5 pm.. A graveside service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery, Kew Gardens, NY at 11 am on Monday November 16, 2009.
