Obituary of Barbara Turner

Barbara P. Turner of Whitehouse Station, NJ died January 11, 2010 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, she was 83. Born in Jersey City, she had lived in Whitehoue Station since 1940. She was the daughter of Talmadge and Margaret Peterson. In addition to being a homemaker, Mrs. Turner was the bookkeeper/treasurer for the Rockaway Reformed Church for 49 years before retiring in 2000. She was also a member of the D.A. R. where she was very active for over 40 years, she sang in the choir at the Rockaway Reformed Church for over 50 years and was the longest member of the church. She is survived by her daughter, Susen and her husband Bob Edwards of Middlesex, NJ. She was predeceased by her husband Carl in December of 2008. A Funeral service will be held at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway, Whitehouse, NJ 08888 on Friday, January 15, at 10:00AM. Friends may visit on Thursday, January 14 from 7-9 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be held at the Rural Hill Cemetery in Whitehouse.
