Obituary of Laraine T. Lindaw

LARAINE T. LINDAW, of Whitehouse Station, died peacefully, on January 21, 2010, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 66. Born in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Angelina Russo. Laraine resided in Whitehouse Station for the last 45 years. Laraine graduated in 1960 from Marinellos Beauty School in Plainfield. She worked as a beautician for 5 years before stopping to raise her beautiful family. After her children had grown she went back to work as a quality control supervisor at Structural Foam Plastics in Branchburg for 20 years, until her retirement in 2000. Her love of nature, gardening, socializing and crocheting was never ending. She enjoyed spending time down the shore, whether it was crabbing or at Atlantic City. It was however, Laraine's time spent with family and especially her grandchildren that meant the world to her. She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert of 47 years, her two sons; Robert Jr. and his wife, Bonnie of North Cape May and Jeffrey of Hanover, PA; and her daughter, Lisa and her husband, Michael Flanagan of East Brunswick, NJ. She is also survived by her 3 adoring grandchildren, Francesca, Jeffrey Jr. and Ryan and her two brothers, Thomas Russo of Tucson, AZ and Richard Russo of Lavallette, NJ. A funeral mass was held on Monday Jan. 25 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station. Interment was at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Bridgewater. Memorial donations in Laraine's name would be appreciated and may be made to Hunterdon Hospice, 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, NJ 08822.
