Obituary of Lydia M. Lindquist

Lydia M. (Torcello) Lindquist, died on Friday, Feb. 26, 2010 at Heath Village in Hackettstown, NJ. She was 97. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2009 at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse at 10:30 A. M. with a funeral service at 11:00. Interment will be private. Born on Dec. 23, 1912, in Retsof, N.Y, she resided in Irvington, West Orange, Whitehouse Station and Whiting. Her husband, George O. Lindquist, died in 1970. Lydia was a homemaker and was active with the Brownies, Girl Scouts and West Orange Community House. She was the loving mother of Linda Reitz (Kenneth) of Whitehouse Station and Raymond Lindquist (Nancy) of Cokesbury and the beloved grandmother of Leslie Cassano, Patti Romano, Alison Kolba, Kristen Onofrey and Raymond Lindquist Jr., and great-grandmother of Max, Madison, Travis, Semilli, Michael, Tyler and Karsen. She is also survived by her sister, Virginia Brauchle of Iowa Falls, Iowa, and brother, Joseph Torcello of Lawrenceville. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heath Village Employee Fund, 430 Schooley's Mountain.Road, Hackettstown, NJ 07840, would be appreciated.
