Obituary of Henry S. Larsen

Henry S. Larsen, age 91 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died Friday, March 12, 2010 at the Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, NJ. Born in Jersey City, he was the son of the late Henry W. and Christine Larsen. Henry had lived in Bridgewater for many years before moving to Whitehouse Station in 1995. He was a Veteran of World War II, serving with the 306 Bomb Group in the European Theater, participating in the Battle for Britain. After his honorable discharge, Henry attended Rutgers University College, earning a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and Finance. He was employed by Wilson Products Company in Neshanic, retiring in 1979. Henry was an extremely active member of the North Branch Reformed Church and served on the church Consistory and a number of committees. He was a member of the Sons of Norway, the Whitehouse American Legion Post 284 and the Raritan Valley Grange. He was predeceased by his 3 brothers. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Grace (DuMont) Larsen and his 3 nieces, Karen Larsen, Amy Larsen and Virginia Douglas. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, at 10:30 A.M. at the North Branch Reformed Church, 203 State Route 28, Bridgewater.
