My Uncle Bill was a mans, man. He fought in a war and Golden Gloves and had the gentle strength to raise a family and grieve a loss of his love of his wife and see his son marry and carry on the family name.
My prayers are for the rest of his family that they know and love the Lord our God with all their might. Amen

Uncle Bill was a wonderful mentor.... he took an interest in my life and offered constructive criticism to me without making me feel like a lesser person...I have often shared his values to others that I have met in my lifetime.... I love him very much and will always remember my Uncle with great appreciation and love... I would gladly return to my childhood knowing Uncle Bill was there

I will remember him as simply a great human being, who had a sense of humor, and intersting stories, especially the ones about his bombardier days. He lived a full life, and he's certainly one to be admired for all the good things he accomplished in his life. He was loved and will be missed.

To my most favorite Uncle, and Godfather..the hot summer days swimming in the "built-in-pool,all the kids yelling and screeming, the mother's calling out various names, the kids yelling "I didn't do it, why do I have to get out of the pool. The Sheldon's, the Gartland's, the Staats'..the love, laughter, lunches, towles, wet bathing suits,& the dog jumping into join in the fun. Aunt Tess laughing, Uncle Bill cutting the "back 40"showing off the new tricks of his beloved German Shepard. Fablous memories Rest well, hello to all our family members up there..I Love You, Mary Margaret

He was quite the character…a “salt of the earth” kind of guy.
I really learned a lot about him reading his obituary.
He was an amazing man and our debt to his heroism in the service of our country can never be repaid.
Our sincere condolences to you and your family.

Grampa - I hope you're riding a shiny new tractor in the sky with all your dogs yapping at your heels. We certainly had a lot of adventures together. I have good memories of you at all the kids games over the years and recently our rides around Hunterdon County's beautiful roads (after buying lottery tickets and ice cream, of course!) Safe travels, buddy.
