Obituary of Lee Recknagel

Laverne (Lee) Recknagel, age 69 formerly of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died Saturday, May 1, 2010 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital in Bethlehem, PA. Born in Perth Amboy, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Edith Lawlor. Lee lived in Roselle and then Whitehouse Station for 25 years, before moving to Bethlehem, PA 6 years ago. She was a former communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station and Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Bethlehem. She was a member of the Red Hats Society in Bethlehem Twp. Lee belonged to the Hunterdon Women's Club and was very active in the support of both the Arc of Hunterdon County and the Midland School. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Albert Recknagel, her son, Kenneth of Flemington her daughter, Cheryl Recknagel of Bethlehem, PA and her precious granddaughter, Vanessa Recknagel. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, May 7, 2010 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ.
