Obituary of Yula McCann

Yula M. McCann, age 99 of Bethlehem Twp., NJ, died Monday, May 10, 2010 at home. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, she was the daughter of the late John and Cora Dietz. Yula had lived in North Plainfield for more than 50 years and Flemington before moving to Bethlehem Twp. nearly 7 years ago. She was a former communicant of St. Joseph's Church in North Plainfield and a member of the Catholic Women's Club. While living in Bethlehem Twp. she joined Immaculate Conception Church in Annandale. Yula was a woman of deep faith with a true devotion to the Blessed Mother. Many a rosary novena was said for the intentions of others. She felt her greatest gift was her family and she loved and cared for them deeply. Her legacy of love was passed on to just about anyone she met, telling them to call her Grandma. Yula was predeceased by her husband, Francis McCann who died in 1986. She is survived by her 3 sons, Gerald and his wife, Nancy of Sedona, AZ; Roger and his wife, Barbara of Beaverton, OR; Eugene and his wife Deanna of North Plainfield and her two daughters, Eileen Molinari and her husband, Esterino of Bethlehem Twp., and Patricia McMullen and her husband, Gerald of Ebensburg, PA. She is also survived by her 15 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, May 14, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church in Annandale. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Plainfield.
