Obituary of Richard W. Besch

Richard W. Besch, age 90 Clinton Twp, NJ, died Thursday, June 24, 2010 at his home. Born in Etna, PA, he was the son of the late Leo and Margaret Besch. Dick grew up and lived in Pittsburgh before moving to Clinton Twp. 65 years ago. He served in the United States Navy during WWII. After his honorable discharge, Dick started his own general contracting firm, Compton & Besch. After a successful career he retired in 1979. He was a faithful communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Annandale. Dick was predeceased by his daughter, Kathleen Besch, who died in 1961. He is survived by his beautiful wife of 65 years, Jacqueline Besch, his loving children, James Besch of Clinton Twp., Leah Hoskyns of Boca Raton, FL, Paula McSweeney of Morris Plains and Therese Flynn of Clinton Twp. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Scott, Gregory, Amy, Jackie and John and his step-grandchildren, Abby and Maddy. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Annandale. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse. .
