Obituary of Elizabeth (Betty) Kellogg

ELIZABETH "BETTY" KELLOGG Prayer Services for Elizabeth "Betty" Kellogg, 88, of Bridgewater will be Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010 at 10:00a.m. at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway, Whitehouse NJ 08888. Interment will follow at the Somerset Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Basking Ridge. Visitation will be from 4:00p.m. to 8:00p.m.on Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010 at the funeral home. Elizabeth was born in Orangeburg, NY and was formerly of Warren before moving to Bridgewater in 1963. She was employed as a Bus Driver for several years for the Bridgewater Raritan Board of Education in Bridgewater before retiring in 2003. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church of Somerville. Betty enjoyed swimming, exercising and travelling and most of all being with her friends and neighbors. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry James Kellogg on Aug. 10, 1976; one brother, Joseph Kolka; three sisters, Mary Rutledge, Kate Flower and Ann Scarpulla; one step-son, Jim Kellogg. Elizabeth is survived by three sons, John and his wife Cheryl of Shortall, North Dakota, Jay and his wife Evelyn of Hillsborough, Frederick and his wife Lorraine of Bridgewater; her daughter, Mary Beth and her husband Robert Hynoski of Lebanon; two brothers, Richard and John Kolka; two sisters, Jane Podraskie and Patti Garrison; ten grandchildren, Katie, Harry, Maghan, Austin, Sarah, Jay, Marissa, Adam, Michael and Madison; two stepsons, Bill and Charles Kellogg of New Albany, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
