Obituary of Violet Balun
Violet Balun, age 83 of Annandale, NJ, died Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ.
Born in Mammoth, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Bridget Koslosky.
Violet was a resident of Mammoth, PA for most of her life before moving to Annandale 15 years ago.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Annandale and spent much of her time praying and watching EWTN, the Catholic Cable Channel. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, and found great pleasure in helping with everyday chores. She will be deeply missed by those who loved her.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Balun who died in 1997.
Violet is survived by her son, Mark Balun and his wife, Lori of Coatesville, PA; her daughter, Michelle Healy and her husband, Bill of Annandale; her brother, John Koslosky of PA; her sisters, Louise Lopes, Connie Billey, and Eileen Hribar of PA; her six grandchildren, Nicholas, Alyssa & Matthew Balun, Alana and Billy Healy, and Jean Egan; and her four great grandchildren, Norah and Fiona Healy and Shane and Carly Egan.
A funeral liturgy will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Church, 316 Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ 08801.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 from 6:00 - 9:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home Ltd., 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ 08888.
Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Annandale, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Hunterdon Hospice, 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, NJ 08822.
