Obituary of Edward H. Schuetz

Edward H. Schuetz, age 91 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died Sunday, October 24, 2010 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ. Born in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late Michael and Louise Schuetz. He had lived in Whitehouse Station for the last 70 years. Ed served in the United States Army during WWII, receiving the European African Middle Eastern Theatre Ribbon with One Bronze Battle Star. He had worked for Durling Farms now Readington Farms for 46 years before retiring in 1982. He was also a freelance photographer, taking pictures for weddings as well as several newspapers, including the Hunterdon Democrat, Hunterdon Review and Courier News. He was a member of the Rockaway Church in Whitehouse Station and a 60 year member of the American Legion, Post 284. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Alberta Schuetz and his son, Edward A. and his wife, Patricia Schuetz of Stockton, NJ. He is also survived by his sister, Mildred Epright of Whitehouse and his 3 grandchildren, Tammy, Scott and Trisha and his 4 great grandchildren, Alyssa, Brandon, Chance and Madyson. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 28, 2010 in the Rockaway Reformed Church in Whitehouse Station. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse.
