Obituary of Mary Ann Regan

Mary Ann Regan, age 99 formerly of North Plainfield, NJ, died Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at the Bridgeway Care Center in Bridgewater, NJ. Mary was born in Knock, County Mayo, Ireland on May 30, 1911; she was the daughter of the late Frank and Bridget McGrath. She came to the United States in 1928, settling in Plainfield. She lived in North Plainfield from 1968 to 2004 before moving to the Care Center. She was a former communicant of St. Mary's Church, Plainfield and St. Joseph's Church, North Plainfield. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Thomas S. Regan who died in 1993. She is survived by her son, Thomas and his wife, Judith of Tewksbury Twp. and her two daughters, Mary Haikes and her husband Ronald of Bridgewater and Joan Burt and her husband, Richard of Neshanic Station. Mary is also survived by her 7 grandchildren, Brian Regan, Kevin Regan, Christine( Regan) Greenebaum, Colleen (Haikes) Lovell, Suzanne (Haikes) Kennedy, Patrick Burt and Megan (Burt) Blessing and her 11 great grandchildren, Ciara, Curran, Megan, Amanda, Liam, Brendan, Declan, Sasha, Carina, Jack and Regan. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, February 7, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Church, Bridgewater. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse. Burial will be in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield.
