Obituary of Frieda Scherrer

Frieda Scherrer, age 83 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died Monday, February 7, 2011 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ. Born in Yugoslavia, she was the daughter of the late Franz and Stephanie Schneider. Frieda came to the United States in1952, settling in Ulster Park, NY before moving to Whitehouse Station in 1967. She was an assistant instructor for the Center for Educational Advancement in Flemington for before retiring in 1996. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and member of the Rosary Altar Society. Frieda was predeceased by her husband, Joseph J. Scherrer who died in 1986 and her son, John J. Scherrer who died in 1998. She was also predeceased by her brother, Joseph Schneider. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Tracy Perez and her three precious grandchildren, J.J., Lola and Brandon. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Emmi Schneider and her church family and many friends. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, February 11, 2011 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Whitehouse Station. Friends may visit on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Bridgewater.
