Obituary of Josephine K. Schumann

Josephine K. Schumann, age 97 of Lebanon NJ, died Sunday, February 13, 2011 at the Rolling Hills Care Center in Clinton Township, NJ. Born in Far Rockaway, NY, she was the daughter of the late Amelia Kelly Waas. Jo had lived in Basking Ridge for 25 years, moving to Lebanon in 2008 from Doylestown, PA. Jo was a homemaker whose greatest joys were her family and her love of music. She was an accomplished pianist and knitter. She had worked as a legal secretary at Bell Labs Patent Division in Murray Hill, NJ for 8 years. She was predeceased by her husband, William C. Schumann who died in 1990. She was also predeceased by her two brothers, Frank and Gene Kelly. Jo is survived by her two sons, William R. and his wife, Gerie of Harwich Port, MA and Richard A. and his wife, Susan of Millington, NJ and her daughter, Nancy J. Schumann of Clinton. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer and her husband, Jeff Sargent, Marissa and her husband, Allen Conley and Ryan and his wife, Erika Schumann along with her great grandchildren, Tanner and Kellen Sargent and James and Julia Conley. All services will be private under the direction of the Kearns Funeral Home, Whitehouse.
