Obituary of Violet Lynch
Violet Delduchetto Lynch, of Annandale New Jersey passed away peacefully May 17, 2011 in her home surrounded by her children. Violet was born on April 1, 1928 in Ogdensburg, New York to Massimo and Dominica Delduchetto. She married the love of her life, Robert John Lynch in September 1952. She was predeceased by her husband Robert and two beloved children; Joseph who died shortly after birth and Robert John Lynch, Jr. who died at the age of 29. She is survived by her daughter Kathleen Lynch-Kraley and her husband James, of Annandale N.J., her daughter Mary Lynch McHale and her husband William of Cary N.C., her son Gerard Lynch and his wife Tamara of Johns Creek, GA and her daughter Ann Lynch Antkowiak and her husband Jon of Granby, Ct and her grandchildren Robert Lynch-Kraley, Lindsay Lynch-Kraley, Caitlin McHale, Nicole Lynch, Colin McHale, Kassandra Lynch, Jon Robert Antkowiak, Ryan Paul Antkowiak and Liam McHale. She is also survived by her sister, Rose Lambiase of Cicero, NY and her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Doud of Ogdensburg, NY and several nieces and nephews.
Violet was a registered nurse graduate of A Barton Hepburn Hospital in Ogdensburg New York. However, Violet's passion and life's work was as a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She was known for her quick wit, sharp mind, drive, energy and tenacity. Violet spent most of her life in upstate New York but moved to New Jersey in 2002. The daughter of Italian immigrants, Violet toured Italy accompanied by her children and grandchildren in celebration of her 80th birthday. Violet loved the arts traveling to NYC visiting museums and attending Broadway plays. She loved music especially "The Three Tenors" and Pavarotti. Violet was an avid bridge player who also enjoyed playing dominoes with family and friends. She also loved making occasional trips to the casinos. Violet was a daily communicant of Immaculate Conception Church, in Annandale NJ and was one of the parishioners who helped clean the church. Violet made many great, loving, caring friends through Immaculate Conception and the family expresses its most heartfelt thanks for all their support through Violet's long and courageous battle with cancer.
A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Annandale.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse.
