Obituary of Barbara S Woods

Barbara S Woods, age 73, died peacefully on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at the Hunterdon Care Center in Flemington, NJ. Born in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Lad and Sue Vacin. Coming from Columbus Ohio, Barbara lived most of her life in Maryland before settling in Flemington. She attended Ohio State University and was an aspiring model in her early years. She was a Girl Scout leader and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, such as cooking, reading, and art. Barbara loved to laugh and entertain. She is survived by her five daughters; Stephanie Woods, Allyson Traba, Roberta Woods, Dana Bunce, and Meridith Woods as well as her five grandchildren; Kimberly, Kevin, Christian, Diva and Kellie. Barbara is also survived by her brother, Robert Vacin and his wife, Candace. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway, Whitehouse, NJ. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Girl Scouts at GSHNJ, West Service Center, 1171 Rt. 28, North Branch, NJ 08876
