Obituary of Clarence Ove Mellblom
Clarence Ove Mellblom, age 86 of Tewksbury, NJ, died Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Country Arch Nursing Home in Union Twp., NJ.
Born in New Brunswick, NJ, he was the son of the late Gustave and the late Eline Mellblom.
Clarence grew up and lived in Edison before moving to Tewksbury in 1965.
At age 16 he joined the United States Army serving in the Philippines during World War II.
Clarence was a carpenter by trade and owned his own business, Mellblom Construction. He retired in 1993. He was happiest working in the garden or farming out in the fields.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Mildred Mellblom and his four loving children, Paul Mellblom and his husband, Peter Farstad of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Kristine Blaszcak and her husband, Peter of Ramona, CA, Barbara Fusco and her husband, Michael of Flemington and Marianne Rampulla and her husband, Richard of Flemington. Clarence is also survived by his mother-in-law, Hedwig Christoph of Tewksbury, six grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, June 4, 2011 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at 1:00 PM. A visitation will be held one hour before the service starting at noon.
Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery in Quakertown.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Parkinson Foundation would be appreciated.
