Obituary of Marion V. Barna

Marion V. Barna, age 104 of North Branch, NJ, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Bridgewater Care Center in Bridgewater. Born in Plainfield, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Viola Cavalear. Marion had lived in Newark, Middlesex, Plainfield, Watchung and Basking Ridge before moving to North Branch in 1975. Marion was a supervisor for General Instrument s in Newark, NJ before retiring in 1975. She was predeceased by her husband, John Barna. Marion is survived by her loving son, John (Jack) Barna of North Branch, NJ. She is also survived by her three wonderful grandchildren, James Barna, Jason Barna and Jessica Metzger and her 6 beautiful great grandchildren. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, June 20, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 10:30AM in the chapel at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, 95 Mount Airy Road, Basking Ridge, NJ. Friends and relatives are asked to meet directly at the Cemetery.
