Obituary of John Glasser

John Henry Glasser, Jr., 65, of Hickory, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2011 at Palliative Care Center & Hospice of Catawba Valley. Born August 18, 1945 in Bound Brook, NJ, he was the son of the late John Henry Glasser, Sr. and Doris Wiley Glasser. Mr. Glasser was a salesman for West Carolina Freightliner. He is survived by his wife, Janet M. Glasser of the home; two sons: John H. Glasser, III of Canton, MI, Daniel W. Glasser of Bayville, NJ; two daughters: Megan E. Glasser of Little River, SC, Melissa A. Franklin of Greensboro, NC; three sisters: JoAnne Roddy of Cary, NC, Doris Bleming of Winston Salem, NC, Nancy Neidig of South Port, NC; and six grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Kearns Funeral Home in Whitehouse Station, NJ. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Lebanon, NJ.
