Obituary of Richard M. DeCoster

Richard DeCoster passed away on October 21, 2011 after a long illness. A native of Basking Ridge, he lived in Whitehouse Station, NJ for the past 37 years. He graduated from St Elizabeth School in Bernardsville and was a 1958 graduate of Bernards High. Richard was a retired member of Electrical Union 102 (581) in Parsippany. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 2393, Basking Ridge. His hobbies were music, line dancing, and collecting sports memorabilia and for many years would annually spend two weeks in Florida with his son at the Yankee's spring training camp. Richard was the son, of the late John M. and Ann (Kearns) DeCoster. He was also predeceased by his wife, Joanne Krzyewski DeCoster and his sister, Maryann DeCoster Resetar. He is survived by his son, Richard J. DeCoster, brothers, John, James, & William and his sister, Annmarie Frendak. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Whitehouse Station. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse.
