Obituary of Helene M. Greenbaum
Helene M. Greenbaum, age 66 of Branchburg, NJ, died Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at the Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, NJ.
Born in Jersey City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Weiss and Helen Weiss of Whiting, NJ. Helene had lived in Sayreville and Old Bridge before moving to Branchburg 20 years ago.
She was an administrator at Merck for 25 years, last working in the Whitehouse Station office before retiring.
She was a 20 year member of the Whitehouse United Methodist Church. She had been the church secretary, helped with Vacation Bible School and arranged ordering and placement of the flowers used in church for Sunday services. She also served on various other committees.
Helene enjoyed skiing and traveling but the most important things in her life were her faith, family and spending time with her grandchildren.
Besides her mother, Helen, Helene is survived by her husband of 21 years, Mitchell and her daughter, Lisa Fanslow and her husband, Steven of South River; her brother, Joseph Weiss of North Arlington; her sisters, MaryAnn Raykovich and Frances Consorti both of Toms River and Alice Leonhardt of North Brunswick. She is also survived by her three precious grandchildren,
Hunter, Amber and Tyler.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Whitehouse United Methodist Church, Old Highway 28, Whitehouse.
