Obituary of Benedict J Cranden
Benedict J Cranden, age 96 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the NJ Veterans Memorial Home in Menlo Park, NJ.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph and Eleanor Cranden. He had resided in Clark and Brick, where he lived for 32 years before moving to Whitehouse Station.
He was a veteran of the US Navy serving during WWII from 1943 to 1945.
He was a welder and worked for Exxon in Elizabeth, for many years.
He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth who died in 1996.
He is survived by his three sons, George Cranden of Oklahoma, CA, James Cranden of Whitehouse Station, and William Cranden of Ringoes, NJ. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Saturday June 23, 2012 from 9:00 to 10:30 AM with a funeral service to be held at 10:30 at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway, Whitehouse. Burial will follow in St. Gertrude's Cemetery in Colonia.
