Obituary of Richard George Zavoda

Richard George Zavoda, age 58, of Lebanon Township, NJ, died Thursday, July 26 at his home. Born in Flemington, NJ, he was the son of the late George and Alexandria (Kmietowicz) Zavoda. Richard was a lifelong resident of the Whitehouse area. He was a self employed construction contractor. His love of fishing and hunting was immeasurable and he loved spending quality time in the Catskills at the Pepackton Reservoir at his vacation camp . Richard is survived by his fiancé, Linda Withers, his 2 step-sons, Joseph Bishop of Whitehouse and Eric Bishop of Stewartsville and 1 step-daughter, Julie Bishop of Vero Beach, FL. He also is survived by 1 brother, David of Oregon and his sister, Patty of Louisiana. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 29th from 2 to 5 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway, Whitehouse, NJ. A graveside service will be held on Monday July 30th at10:30 AM in Rural Hill Cemetery in Whitehouse. Friends may gather at the funeral home at 10:00 AM for a procession to the Cemetery.
