Obituary of Grace J Bakerjian

Grace J. Bakerjian, age 80 of Oxford, NJ, died Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Heath Village with her loving family by her side. Born in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Lucy Khachadoorian. Grace had previously lived in Berkeley Heights before moving to Oxford, NJ in 1998. Grace received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Boston University. A longtime member of the Whitehouse United Methodist Church, she will be most remembered for her love of music and cooking delicious Armenian food and soups. Grace was predeceased by her devoted husband of 57 years, Benjamin on April 12, 2016. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Wimberly and her husband, Gene; her brother, Harry Khachadoorian and his wife, Rosemary; her two sisters, Alice Harbour and Jean Sahatjian and her husband Ronald; her nieces and nephews, Kim Harbour and her husband, Brian McMahon, Alison Harbour, Bill Harbour and his wife, Charlotte, Renee Cantwell and her husband, Kevin and Jennifer Pimental and her husband, Bill. She is also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews as well as her beloved granddogs, Sophie and Bubba. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ 08888. A service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Whitehouse United Methodist Church in Whitehouse. Burial will be private.
