Obituary of Philip A. Kane, III
Philip Anthony (Phil) Kane III, 74, of Tewksbury Twp., passed away on January 24 at the Hunterdon Medical Center.
Phil was born in Newark, NJ to Phil and Viola Kane on July 30, 1942. He went to high school at Irvington High and graduated in 1960. Phil graduated Bloomfield College, and attended Seton Hall University Grad. School. Phil had spent 15 years volunteering for the Boy Scouts in various positions, Watchung Council. He spent over 40 years in the Insurance Industry; he had CIC and CPIM Designations, and NJ Ins. License. He taught part time at Middlesex County College & Rutgers Univ. He was Former Chairman of Hunterdon County Selective Service for 20 years, past Pres. of NJ Ins. Feldman’s Assn., past Pres. Friends of Tewksbury Library, and Archivist Tewksbury Historical Society.
Phil is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marianne, son, Philip Anthony Kane IV, his wife, Melissa, and 2 grandsons, Quinn (Philip Kane V), and Christopher of St. Albans, England, and Phil's daughter, April and her partner, David Kuzma of Iselin, NJ. Phil is predeceased by his parents Philip and Viola Kane.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2016 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ.
Graveside services will be private.
