Obituary of Grace W Slamon

Grace W. Slamon, age 97 of Toms River, NJ, died Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at the Rolling Hills Care Center in Lebanon, NJ. Born in Kingston, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Sarah Young. Grace had lived in Cedar Grove before settling in Toms River 25 years ago. Several months ago she moved to the Rolling Hills Care Center. She had been a member of the Community Church of Cedar Grove and then the Toms River Presbyterian Church. Grace spent many enjoyable hours walking on the boardwalk at the beach, but her greatest pleasure was when she was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Grace was predeceased by her beloved husband, James, her daughter, Nancy Hollfelder, her brother, Warren Young and her sister, Marion Persico. She is survived by her son, Jim Slamon and his wife, Nancy Meola of Flemington, her daughter, Linda Wilberton and her husband, Larry of Wolfeboro, NH and her seven grandchildren, Brian, Gary, Larry, Michael, Julie, Jill, Sharon, Katie, and Lauren and her 18 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 12:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ 08888. All other services will be private.
