Obituary of Elizabeth F Blatterspiel

Elizabeth F. Blatterspiel, age 90 of Flemington, NJ, died Thursday, May 11, 2017. 

Born in Milford, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Francis J. and the late Katherine M. (Goebel) Blatterspiel.  Elizabeth had lived in Somerville and Pittstown before moving to Flemington.

Elizabeth graduated from Flemington High School in 1945 and received her Nursing Certificate as an RN from Somerset Hospital School of Nursing in 1948. She was a Registered Nurse for 46 years, working in the Surgery Department at the Somerset Medical Center until her retirement in 1991.

She was a very active communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Pittstown where she belonged to the Choir, Sanctuary Guild, Rosarian Society and was the hostess for visiting Priests.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her brother, Francis Blatterspiel, Jr. and her sisters, Katherine Van Doren and Eva Christy.

She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Blatterspiel Cole of NC and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.  

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Pittstown.  Friends may gather at the Church, prior to the mass from 10:00 to 11:00 AM

Burial will be Tuesday, May 16th at 11:00 AM at Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway.
