Obituary of Salvador Pinos

Salvador Pinos, age 79 of Springfield, NJ, died at his home on Tuesday, September 5, 2017.

Born in Malaga, Spain, he was the son of the late Salvador and Dolores Pinos.

Sal lived in Columbia before moving to the United States and had been living in Springfield for the past 48 years.

He worked in the machine manufacturing industry continuing to work until his passing as a consultant for Hosokowa Micron Powder Systems in Summit, NJ.

Sal was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Springfield. He enjoyed trips to the Sands and cheering on his grandchildren at whatever activity they were involved in at the time.  His family meant everything to him and he was thrilled to have witnessed his grandson, Michael get married this past weekend.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 54 years, Fanny, in 2016.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Angela Iwaskow and her husband, Michael; his brother, Juan Miguel Plaza, his sisters, Ana Plaza, Carmen Plaza, Carmela Pinos, and Loli Pinos; and his cherished grandchildren, Danielle Iwaskow and Michael Iwaskow and his wife, Jennifer.  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral liturgy will be held on Friday, September, 8, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 316 Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ.  There will be no calling hours at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Friends are invited to an open house at the Iwaskow family home following the burial.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Kearns Funeral Home in Whitehouse.
