Obituary of John J. Mazzella

John J. Mazzella, age 82 of Clinton Twp., NJ, died peacefully at home on Sunday, October 1, 2017.

Born in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late John and Maria Mazzella. John lived in Newark and Roselle Park before moving to Clinton Twp. in 1997.

John was a graduate of New Jersey Institute of Technology and was a designer draftsman, for General Instrument in Newark, NJ.

John was a kind and gentle man.  He enjoyed a good joke and was a regular customer at Dunkin Donuts where he and his friends would spend time shooting the breeze, solving puzzles and meeting new people.

He was predeceased by his loving sisters, Madaline Reed, and Millie Cignarella and his
brother, Frank Mazzella

John is survived by his best friend and brother, Jerry and his dear sister-in-law, Patti Mazzella of Clinton Twp., and his loving sister, Sylvia DiScala and dear brother-in-law, Joe of Thornwood, NY.  He is also survived by his dear sister-in-law, Diane Mazzella and many devoted nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse.  A service will be held during the evening visitation.
