Obituary of John F. Jablonski

John F. Jablonski, age 88 of Peapack, NJ, died Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the Green Knoll Center in Bridgewater, NJ.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Jablonski.   John graduated Clinton High School in 1946, resided in Clinton Township before moving to Peapack in 1986. 

He served two years in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in 1948 after obtaining the rank of Corporal.

On February 21, 1953 he married Sharon A. Mebs at Immaculate Conception Church in Clinton, NJ.

John sold paper products for 25 years before going to work at the Dower Christmas Tree Farm in Peapack.

John coached for 20 years in NHLL and loved watching his son’s play sports. He enjoyed working on his brother, Ed’s farm and having his children and grandchildren around.

John was predeceased by his siblings, Regina Jablonski, Stanley Jablonski, and Edward Jablonski.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Thomas J. (Carolyn Coletti-Jablonski) of Pittstown, NJ and Craig H. (Maureen Feury) of Annandale, NJ and his grandchildren, Tyler, Alexa, Chad, and Cayden.  He is also survived by his twin sister, Pauline Apgar Ajamian and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Mountain View Cemetery, 321 Cokesbury Rd., Lebanon.  A life celebration gathering will follow during the hours of 12:30 to 4:00 PM at the Clinton Elks, 201 Sidney Rd. Annandale.
