Obituary of Dan N. Bias
Daniel Bias, age 85 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ.
Born in Mahanoy, PA, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Anna Bias.
Dan served in the United States Coast Guard during the Korean War.
He worked in the banking industry as a program analyst and retired from Chase Bank in Manhattan in1997.
Dan was a real outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fly fishing, and was an avid trapshooter. He was also a talented gardener which was evident by the size of the garden in his back yard.
Dan is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mary Bias, his sons, Daniel Bias, Jr. and his girlfriend, Tracey; Jeffrey Bias and his wife, Mary; his daughter, Jodi Snyder and her husband, Brian; his 4 stepdaughters, Melissa Dehncke-McGill and her husband, Steve; Heidi Dehncke; Erica Paul and her husband, Bob; and Karla Wallack and her husband, Tristan. He is also survived by his brother, Michael Bias and sister, MaryEllen Farnsworth; eight grandchildren, Jessica and Jacob Ramer; Lucas and Samuel McGill; Ryan and Zachary Fisher; and Olivia and Madison Paul and his great granddaughter, Little Miss Sophia.
A visitation will be held at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM with Coast Guard Military Honors to be held at 7:30. All other services will be private.
