Obituary of Samuel Metallo

Samuel Metallo, age 87 of Easton, PA., passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Gracedale Nursing Home in Nazareth, PA.

Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the beloved son of his late mother Carmela Mazza Metallo, his late step father, Sam.Metallo , and his late biological father Nicholas Nastasi.

Sam had been a resident of Flemington, NJ for over 50 years before moving to Easton, PA one year ago.

He was a career electrician and after he retired he worked for Tara Greens Golf Center in Somerset, NJ for 20 years.

Sam was a little league coach in his younger years and was a lifelong Rutgers football fan. He was a member of the San Gennaro Italian Club in Flemington. He had a passion for art as was evidenced by his paintings and stained glass art work.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Rosaria; his five children, Samuel and his wife, Cathie of VA, Joseph of FL, Joanne Metallo of KY, Robert and his wife, Judi of Middlesex and Katherine Fedele and her husband, Vincent of Easton, PA.  He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 9:00 AM at St. Magdalen’s Church 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ 08822

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, November 17, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ 0888

Entombment will be in St. Magdalen’s Cemetery in Flemington, NJ.
