Obituary of Peter A. Vorwick

Peter A. Vorwick, Jr., age 47 formerly of Flemington, NJ, died Monday, March 26, 2018 at his home in Bluffton, SC.

Born in Staten Island, NY, on October 28, 1970.  He was the son of Peter A. Vorwick, Sr of Readington Twp. and Patricia A. Lucas of Hilton Head Island, SC. Pete lived in Hillsborough, NJ before moving to Bluffton almost two years ago. He was a 1989 graduate of Hunterdon Central High School and graduated with a Bachelors from West Virginia University in 1993.

Pete was an independent snack food distributor for over 20 years. He was a passionate sports fan. The Yankees became a part of his DNA at an early age. His father coached his little league team and Pete played baseball throughout school and into his adulthood. Pete was a talented bowler and golfer, loved to fish, and enjoyed playing tennis with his mother. He never knew a stranger and was friend to all. He had a contagious laugh and always greeted you with a smile. Pete adored his 10 year old son Tyler and cherished his friendships and relationships with his family.

Besides his parents, Pete is survived by his wife, Patti and their son, Tyler Andrew Vorwick. He is also survived by his aunts, Elizabeth Blackwood and her husband, David, Susan Zarelli and her husband, Doug and his uncles, George Vorwick and John Kish and many cousins.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church, 56. Old Turnpike Road, Oldwick, NJ 08858.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28,  Whitehouse, NJ 08888.
