Obituary of Michael J. Sputanik

Michael J. Sputanik, age 73 of Somerville, NJ, died Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville, NJ.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of the late Michael and Helen Sputanik. Michael lived in Jersey City before moving to Somerville 22 years ago.

Michael was a graduate of Henry Snyder High School in Jersey City. 

He was for many years a business owner and more recently enjoyed a long career in the Security Business.  He was an avid reader and his home resembled a library.

Michael is survived by his dear sister, Helena Bolger and her husband, Irving of Readington Twp. He was the beloved uncle to Vincent, Matthew and Jeffrey Bolger and is also survived by his many cousins.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Whitehouse Station.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse.

Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Manville.
