Obituary of Ross L Smith

Ross “Skip” Smith, Sr., age 60 of Hampton, NJ.  Ross battled cancer for a few years and tried his hardest to fight for his family but lost the battle and passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, April 18, 2018. We will miss him terribly.

Born in Flemington, he was the son of the late Howard and Ruth Ann Smith.  Ross had resided in Hampton for over 30 years.

He was owner and operator of RLS Trucking and made deliveries out of Glen Gardner quarry. Ross loved being out on the lake with his long time best friends Greg Griffith and Steve Perchaylo, he had a tremendous passion for fishing.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Colleen (Burke) Smith, his loving sons, Ross Smith, Jr. of Bloomsbury, Scott Smith and Travis Smith both of Hampton as well as his loving daughter, Amanda Stevens and her husband Tyler of Hellertown, PA.

Friends and relatives are invited to gather with the family on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse.

Ross (Skip) will be cremated, flowers are not necessary since there is no interment.
