Obituary of Diane Carroll

Diane Patricia Carroll, age 81 of Clinton, NJ died surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Pine Acres in Madison, NJ.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Charles Carroll and Marjorie “Pat” Carroll.

Diane lived in Dover, NJ for many years, then Ithaca, NY before settling in Clinton for over 15 years.

She was an active member of Immaculate Conception Parish in Clinton and a dedicated volunteer with the Visiting Nurse Association of Somerset Hills as well as Catholic Charities Food Bank in Phillipsburg. Diane was an avid gardener who excelled in raising both vegetables and beautiful flowers.  While living in Ithaca she owned a Bed and Breakfast, The Federal House. She served as treasurer for The Finger Lakes Association of Innkeepers and was featured in a local publication for both her design and culinary skills. As a world traveler, Diane infused these experiences into her own life work. She was an amazing and talented woman whose creativity knew no bounds. Holidays and Special Occasions were spectacular events highlighting her signature style. She was the epitome of grace, wit and wisdom. She will lovingly be remembered and tremendously missed by all who knew her.

Diane is survived by her daughter, Michele Patrice Connahan and her husband, Matthew of Chester; her two sons, James (Jimmy) Blauvelt of Tewksbury and Thomas Carroll Blauvelt and his wife, Kristen of Tewksbury; her devoted partner, Michael A. Coiro of Allentown; her brother, Raymond (Bud) Carroll; and by her seven cherished grandchildren, Matthew and his wife, Sherry, Patrick and his wife Diana, Maura and her fiance` David, Megan, Daniel, Grace and Hannah.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse.

A funeral liturgy will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Annandale.  

Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
