Obituary of Doris S Reindel

Doris S. Reindel, (née) Sassman, age 88 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, surrounded by family.

Born in Elizabeth, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Margaret Mulaney, (née) Sassman.   Doris had lived in Roselle Park and then Bridgewater before moving to Whitehouse Station 35 years ago. 

She was a Charter Member of Bridgewater United Methodist Church in Bridgewater, NJ.  She was a long time member and past President of The Princeton Singles. She enjoyed spending time tending her garden and traveling but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a constant presence at all her family’s gatherings and could be seen supporting her grandchildren at various school activities and sports. She also supported a number of charitable organizations.

She was predeceased by her brother, Richard Sassman in 1991.

Doris is survived by her three daughters, Janice Reindel of Bear Creek Twp., PA, Vivian Hoppe of Pen Argyl, PA, Valerie Croft and her husband, John of Kennedyville, MD, and by her two sons, John Reindel and his wife, Joyce of Flemington, NJ and Drew Reindel and his wife, Lisa of Milford, NJ. and 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren with a 9th arriving shortly.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ 08888.

Friends may visit with the family prior to the service from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

Entombment will be in Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Basking Ridge.
