Mancuso Date of Death: May 21, 2018 ____________________________________________________________________________ Obituary Information Rose L. Mancuso, age 91 of Mountainside, NJ, died peacefully on Monday, May 21, 2018 at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ. Born in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Tillie Campisi. Originally from South Orange, she resided in Manahawkin for over 20 years before moving to Brighton Gardens of Mountainside 12 years ago. Rose was dedicated to her church and involved with social concerns her entire life. She was also as dedicated to her family as she was to her community. She was never happier then when she was surrounded by those she loved and she will be tremendously missed. She was predeceased by her husband, Benjamin P. in 1989, her son, Lawrence in 2015, her daughter, Carol Mancuso Lew in 2006, her sister, Natalie Moscatell and her son-in-law, Leonard Acken. Rose is survived by her daughter, Maria Acken of Whitehouse, her son, Anthony J. Mancuso and his wife, Lisa of Springfield, her four cherished grandchildren, Lisa Falcone and her husband, Joe, Leonard Acken, Stefanie Byrne and her husband, Paul and Jessica Lamb and her husband, Tom. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect Street, South Orange, NJ 07079. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, May 30 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ 08888. Entombment will be in Hollywood Memorial Park in Union, NJ.
