Obituary of Muriel Fletcher

Muriel Fletcher, age 93 of Readington Township, died Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at the Rolling Hills of Hunterdon Care Center.

Born in Paterson, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Mary Mullen.

She lived in Somerset County for many years before moving to Hunterdon County 14 years ago.

Muriel was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.  She loved all animals especially her dogs and she was known for her great sense of humor.  She was memorable for her little bitty size but strong, fiery, opinionated personality and she was a pleasure to know.

She was predeceased by her husband, Walter in 1991, her daughter, Shirley Ambler in 1998 and her son, Robert Fletcher in 2003.  Muriel was also predeceased by her six siblings.

She is survived by her family, Cathy and Al Alfonzo, their daughters, Jennifer, Danielle, Tyla and the grandchildren, Daniel, Catie, Will, Riley, Murphy, Chris and John.

A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Burial will be private.
