Obituary of Stanley F Kocur

Stanley F. Kocur, age 94 of Whitehouse, NJ, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, July 3, 2018.

Born in Whitehouse, he was the son of the late George and Josephine Kocur.

Stanley was a proud Army veteran who honorably served his country during WWII.

He worked as a millwright for Johns Manville Corporation for 39 years.

Stanley was a lifetime member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station.  He belonged to the VFW Post 2290 in Manville, the Readington Seniors, Our Lady of Lourdes Seniors and the Quarter Century Club for Johns Manville Corporation. Stanley enjoyed good food, the outdoors, fishing and gardening but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.  He was a wonderful father and his grandchildren and great grandchildren meant everything to him.

Stanley was predeceased by his beloved wife, Ida Marie in 2010 and by his brother, Joseph and his two sisters, Stephanie and Jean.

He is survived by his children, Stanley Jr and Lela Kocur both of Whitehouse and by his cherished grandchildren, Melissa and Michael Kocur, a member of the US Airforce stationed in Germany, Jenna of PA and Christopher and Diana Kocur of Whitehouse Station.  He is also survived by his 3 precious great grandchildren, Nicholas, Ayden and Michael Jr.

A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse NJ 08888.

Entombment will be in St. Bernard’s Cemetery in Bridgewater.
