Obituary of Steffie D'Ambola

Steffie D'Ambola, age 92 of Readington Twp., NJ, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 25, 2018.

Born in Belleville, NJ, she was the daughter of the late George and Dorothy Siluk.

Previously from New Vernon, Steffie had lived in Readington Township since 1965.

Steffie was an accomplished horsewoman, raising horses for both the racetrack and show ring. Most recently, she was a member of the Readington Trail Association, an organization dedicated to maintaining miles of beautiful trails throughout the township. She also loved spending time at the dog park and pursuing other activities involving her horses. She valued time spent with her friends and family but most especially she cherished the time spent with her granddaughter. Steffie will be missed by friends and family, and also her constant companion, her beloved dog Midget.

Steffie was predeceased by her husband, Anthony in 1993.

She is survived by her daughter, Toni Rathborne and her husband, John of Branchburg, her brother, John Siluk of Bridgewater and her granddaughter, Alexandra.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 31st at 7:30 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse. Friends may visit with the family prior to the service from 5:00 until time of service.

A private inurnment will follow at a later time at the Readington Reformed Church Cemetery in Readington.
