Obituary of Robert Dallas
Robert Henry Dallas, 92, of Whitehouse, NJ passed away at home on October 3, 2013.
Robert was born on August 1, 1921 in Mt. Carmel, PA. The family moved to Whitehouse, NJ from Plainfield, NJ in 1961.
He served in the United States Army during World War II and graduated from The University of Pennsylvania. He spent his lifetime in the chemical industry, having been co-founder of Reagent Chemical and Research and later founding The Dallas Group of America. He remained Chairman of the Board of The Dallas Group at the time of his death.
He was predeceased by his wife, Fay (Rubright) in January 1999. Robert is survived by his two sons, Robert H. Dallas, II, and his wife Linda of Watchung, NJ, and David Dallas of Clinton, NJ. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jessica Lynn and her husband, David Milano, Robert S. and David Tyler, his sister Gloria Heil, and his companion of the past ten years, Penelope Shaffer.
Services were held at Kearns Funeral Home in Whitehouse, NJ on Saturday, October 5, 2013 and internment was at Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Basking Ridge, NJ.
