Obituary of Margot Todt

Margot J. Todt, age 77 of Whitehouse Station, died peacefully at home on Monday, October 29, 2018.

Born in Danzig, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Otto and Jenny Herring.

Margot emigrated from Germany in 1962 to the United States.  Having lived in Linden and Menlo Park Terrace, in 1972 she moved to Whitehouse Station where she resided with her family for the past 46 years.

She attended school at night to earn her high school diploma all while working and raising two children.  She also attended Newark State College and for many years worked for Somerset Trust Company, among other banks, as a branch manager.

Margot was a member of the German Club in Clark and was very active in the Ladies’ Division.  She loved the theater and had an artist’s eye.  She was an avid painter with an array of local awards and loved arranging flowers all with a creative touch. Margot cherished time spent with her family and she will be forever missed by all who loved her.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Werner and Gerhardt Herring.

Margot is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Arthur; her son, Don and his wife, Mary Jane of Annandale; her daughter, Patricia Todt-Pacella and her two granddaughters, Sofia and Gabrielle Pacella of Whitehouse Station.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ 08888.

All other services will be private.
